One of my favorite things to do over the weekend is to explore different cafes in Penang. I have to agree that most of the cafe at Penang don't serve consistent good coffee, and a lot of them not even have their own specialities that can impress their customers. Well, maybe themed cafe is one of the attraction, but I don't think it gonna last without good food or coffee. 

Reason I always go back to Mugshot is because I love their bagel so much. I love the authentic and simple taste of their bacon and eggs bagel, compare to any others burger/sandwiches, which I feel it's more on the healthy but yummy side, without too much oil and sauces. 

Another cafe that we explore near by Mugshot is Roti Bean (walking distance). They don't sell coffee like others, but their soya bean is definitely a must try - so far the best I had ever!!!

Secawan N' Such is highly recommended by a friend, and YES I do love their cakes (we tried Tiramisu and Carrot cake) but too bad their coffee is not what I expect. How I wish I can find a place which sell good coffee and great cakes - good coffee like Lighthouse/Coffee Journey, and awesome cake like China House/Moody Cow/Secawan N' Such (Day dreaming).

周末假日我最爱就是到不一样的 Cafe 尝鲜。可惜，很多槟城的 cafe 都没有一定水平的咖啡素质，更甚一些 cafe 连自己的特色和卖点都没有；主题式 cafe 或许短期内可以吸引人潮啦，可是日子久了，就失去新鲜感了。

而 Mugshot 是我最爱的 cafe 之一：我尤其喜欢他们家的培根+蛋贝果，材料和味道虽然简单却很美味，和其它汉堡或三文治比起来也没有那么油腻，感觉上比较健康。

同样一天我们也到 Mugshot 附近的 Roti Bean 逗留了一会儿，虽然 Roti Bean 没有卖咖啡，但是他们主打的豆水真的很棒，是我喝过最好喝的了！

朋友介绍的 Secawan N' Such 蛋糕好好吃（我们点了提拉米蘇和胡萝卜蛋糕），可是他们的咖啡依然不怎么样。为什么槟城就不能有一间 cafe，可以既有好喝的咖啡又有好吃的蛋糕呢？（像是 Lighthouse/Coffee Journey 的好咖啡 + China House/Moody Cow/Secawan N' Such 的绝佳蛋糕，一定是人间天堂吖！）

Another Sunday exploring the beautiful Penang island with Justin. Really is hard to believe that places around The Goddess of Mercy Temple changed so much since my last visit in 2013. I still remember I used to visit The Goddess of Mercy Temple every year when I was in my primary and secondary school time to pray for luck in exams. 

This is the very first time we visit The Alley cafe located beside the temple, I've always heard that how good their Churro is and it's definitely worth trying. Make sure you walk around that area after enjoying your Churro and coffee, to visit the historical temple and to admire the old house/building around. 

再一次到槟城观音亭，真的很难想像这里变了好多。我最后一次来这里是去年拜拜的时候，记忆中那时侯好像还没发展好呢。还记得以前求学的时候，每一年都会来这里许愿和还愿 - 希望学业有成，考试可以顺利。

这是我们第一次到 The Alley 咖啡屋，就在观音亭的旁边；很多人都推荐他们家的 Churro，确实值得一试，Churro 酥脆的外皮占上甜甜的 Caramel 还有肉桂粉，真的让人垂涎三尺。享用完热腾腾的咖啡还有 Churro 后不妨到邻近的小街走走，也可以拜访已经有很多年历史的观音亭，感受下比较 laid-back 的老槟城。

Another beautiful Saturday with my mom and sis, celebrating early Mother's Day at Macalister Mansion Living Room. We all love it here not just for the delicious food, but also the friendly staff that make you feel so comfortable just like at you own home.

星期六傍晚，和妹妹还有妈妈在槟城 Macalister Mansion Living Room 提早庆祝母亲节。我们很喜欢这里，不只是因为美食，还有就是他们友善亲切的服务态度，让你有宾至如归的感觉。

If you love cakes, here is definitely a must visit place. I love the idea of selling cakes in small pieces, RM10 for 4 - totally suitable for people like me who love eating cakes, but prefer it to be in more variety. As I always said, the combination of cakes and coffee make earth a living heaven. By the way, if you are not a coffee person, they have wide variety of TWG tea too!

如果你喜欢吃蛋糕甜点，那一定要来这里。很喜欢他们的小蛋糕，特别适合我这种爱吃多种类蛋糕，却又容易觉得腻的女生。蛋糕与咖啡的组合，绝对像置身天堂那样幸福呀！当然，如果你不喝咖啡的话，他们也有多样化的 TWG 茶让你自行选择。
